Liverpool are once again looking at a deal for Jadon Sancho, but only if Mohamed Salah were to leave this summer.
That’s according to BILD journalist Christian Falk, who says to expect movement on the Sancho front should Salah depart.
Salah has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with a surprise interview in Spain at the end of last year seeing him hint that he would fancy a move to Spain.
Indeed that same interview only strengthened the idea he wanted out when he hinted at something of a rift with Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, who had snubbed him for the captaincy in a Champions League tie weeks earlier.
Should he leave Liverpool would need to find a high-profile replacement and Sancho has been touted as an option on several occasions.
Those rumours have resurfaced in recent weeks and Falk says there is a basis of truth to them.
“That is indeed, true, Liverpool are looking at Sancho again,” he told BILD.
“He is on the list, especially because they don’t know what will happen with Salah, who is always a bit on the move and thinking about a transfer.
“Chelsea are also very interested, as we have reported, and also Spain lures him again and again.
“If Salah were to be sold or he says he doesn’t want to be at the club anymore then there would surely be movement on Sancho with Liverpool.”
