Feyenoord general manager Tim te Kloese has insisted he has no intention of selling Danilo to Rangers this summer.

He’s been speaking to Algemeen Dagblad, relayed by 1908, in the Netherlands regarding Danilo’s future as he continues to be linked with a move to Ibrox.

Rangers manager Michael Beale is believed to be keen on signing the striker as he looks to bolster his forward line after a series of departures this summer.

Antonio Colak, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos have all left Rangers this summer, with Cyriel Dessers the only arrival.

It seems Beale is keen to add to his current options at Ibrox as a result and has thus been linked with a move for Danilo, who managed 14 goals in 47 games in all competitions for the Dutch champions last season.

Several reports have indicated that he was edging closer to the move to Rangers, even though their opening bids were rejected at the end of last month.

It seems Te Kloese has no intention of doing a deal, though, outlining his stance on the rumours in his comments today.

“He is incredibly important to us,” he said.

“As a player, but also in the development of Igor Paixao, for example, who would never have been as far as he is without the presence of Danilo. Moreover, he still has a three-year contract with us.

“No is also an answer, isn’t it,” he added when asked what he will do if ‘serious offers’ are made this summer.
