It’s now safe to say that Everton will have very complete reports about every Benfica player when the season comes to an end.
The Toffees have been watching an impressive number of the Eagles’ game this season, often getting a mention in the scouts list. In February, they got to watch the Lisbon side twice in the same week.
Now they’ve been back to the Estádio da Luz, as according to newspaper Record, the Merseyside club had officials at Benfica’s Europa League clash against Dinamo Zagreb.
Although Record doesn’t point out who the Toffees were watching, there was plenty to see in Benfica’s 3-0 win which got them qualification for the quarter-finals.
Benfica’s goals were scored by Jonas, Ferro and Alex Grimaldo. Coincidentally, these were the best of their players on the pitch, especially Ferro, a defender who’s not so used to the spotlight.
Everton’s target isn’t made clear, but they’re certainly keen on someone at Benfica.
