It seems Michy Batshuayi’s spell in Turkey hasn’t been going very well.
The striker, who was loaned by Chelsea to Besiktas at the start of the season, even has decent numbers for his new club, with nine goals and five assists in 28 appearance so far.
But that hasn’t spared him from some heavy criticism, as we get to see some harsh comments from TRT Spor’s Firat Gunayer.
On Twitter, the journalist addressed comments which said Batshuayi’s had some kind of ‘bad luck’, and claimed that the centre-forward actually carries a list of other problems.
“Batshuayi’s issue is not bad luck. He has a very serious finishing incompetence,” said Gunayer.
“Moreover, it is not only in his shots, but also in his passes, it is also in his dribbling.”
Signed from Marseille in 2016, Batshuayi even had a couple of seasons to try to prove himself for Chelsea, but it’s been a long time since the Blues gave up on him.
Since January 2018, the striker has been on loans at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, Crystal Palace and now Besiktas.
Now in case his season in Turkey continues to be unimpressive, the Blues may soon have to take another decision on his future, as his contract with them only expires in 2023.
