In Spain the big transfer story on Tuesday evening is Philippe Coutinho potentially moving from Barcelona to Tottenham on loan. Many outlets are covering it, and RAC1, who started the claims, report a Barca source has said negotiations are progressing.
Over in Italy the major transfer story on Tuesday evening also involves Tottenham. Sky Italia claimed the Premier League club had offered €70m for Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala, and that such an amount was fine with the Turin club.
That left it up to Spurs to get Dybala and his agents agreeing that a move to the club is the right step to take.
Gazzetta dello Sport have followed up from there, and explain Tottenham are ‘trying to convince’ Dybala to join them, however, there’s two rather big obstacles in the way.
The Italian newspaper states the wages and commissions are one problem, and then there’s the player’s image rights. There’s no further explanation on that, but some clubs, such as Real Madrid, force their players to hand over a percentage of their image rights, and this could be related to that scenario.
