Having spent the last 18 months out on loan at Fiorentina and Valencia, Patrick Cutrone is again on the verge of completing another temporary move.
TuttoMercatoWeb have a short report on the Wolverhampton Wanderers man, stating the striker is set to join Empoli on a loan deal this summer.
These claims are further backed by Sky Italia and they provide additional information on this case. Sky also managed to get a comment from the Wolves player.
It’s claimed the 23-year-old landed in Italy on Wednesday to seal his temporary move to the newly promoted Serie A side and Empoli will not have any option to make the former AC Milan attacker’s stay permanent.
Cutrone is expected to sign his contract with the new club in the ‘next few hours’ and make himself available to train under Empoli manager Aurelio Andreazzoli.
The impending temporary move from Wolves to Empoli has also been confirmed by the player, upon his arrival in Italy.
“I am very happy to return to Italy. I chose Empoli because it is a great place and a great club. I tell the fans that I am very excited: I can’t wait to get on the pitch,” Cutrone was quoted as saying by Sky.
