Manchester United may have left a great victory escape in the Champions League clash against Galatasaray last night, but Red Devils’ boss Erik ten Hag is still trying to hold to the positive aspects of that performance.

The manager was interviewed by Brazilian outlet TNT Sports, and among the questions asked by Fred Caldeira, there was one wondering whether that was Antony’s best game for the Old Trafford side.

Ten Hag claimed that the winger previously had other good performances, but agreed that he’s getting better, along with the team, who have been in a much better form through the past month.

“One of those, he also played more. But you see, he’s on his way back, so I’m very happy about this,” said Ten Hag.

“And also with the team. You see the progress in this team. How we performed in November. So now we close November. So we have to take this, and also other games we played in November, and you see the progress, you see the improvement. Now we have to take that, we have to build on that.”

Antony has 13 appearances for Manchester United this season, and is still to have a goal or an assist.

Following last night’s draw, Manchester United now need to beat Bayern Munich and hope for a draw between Copenhagen and Galatasaray in the group stage’s final fixture.

Otherwise, they’ll get eliminated from the Champions League in what wasn’t expected to be such a difficult group.

The Red Devils’ next game is against Newcastle United on Saturday.
