Loaning Fabio Silva to Anderlecht, the hope from Wolverhampton Wanderers’ end was for the Portuguese striker to find the back of the net and play regularly.

He’s done both of those, even if he hit a small dry spell before the weekend, totalling eight goals and two assists in 18 appearances with the Belgian club to date.

Scoring the third in the 3-1 win over Mechelen at the weekend, the 20-year-old Wolves loanee is now preparing to face West Ham United once again in the Europa League.

David Moyes’ men came out 1-0 winners in the first of the two fixtures at London Stadium, but the hope will be, at least from Anderlecht’s and Silva’s end, to walk away with the three points this time around.

The Wolves man could even have helped his team pick up points against West Ham last week, but he saw his attempt denied by Alphonse Aréola.

Silva said, relayed by Le Soir: “Against West Ham, Aréola pulled off a great save. I have to accept it. I’m already proud to have jumped like that between two centre-backs. Two years ago, I wouldn’t have managed it. Goals will come for me when they come. I’m not putting any pressure on myself. The real pressure, it’s those who have to fight in Ukraine who know it. I’m having fun doing what I love in a group where I feel good.”

While he isn’t playing with a lot of pressure at Anderlecht, the same cannot be said when he arrived at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ following a very expensive transfer for FC Porto.

The youngster scored just four goals and assisting another six in 62 appearances for the Molineux side following his £36m move.
