Following Ajax’s elimination from the Champions League, Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport today features a piece about the many big talents who could leave the Dutch side in the summer.
That’s certainly not pleasant news for manager Erik Ten Hag, who’s set to lose important assets in the squad, and that may encourage him to leave the club as well.
So when speaking of the coach’s future, Gazzetta points out the chance he’s set to have to replace Ralf Rangnick at Manchester United next season.
The outlet points out Ten Hag has an ‘illustrious offer’ from the Red Devils, claiming the German boss wants to ‘entrust’ him with that position at Manchester United.
Gazzetta calls Ten Hag ‘one of the most requested managers’ in Europe, and even though he still has one year left in his contract with Ajax, it’s claimed that the ‘contingencies’ between he and the club could indeed convince him to leave earlier than that.
That’s why the possibility of taking charge of Manchester United takes shape for the summer.
