Galatasaray winger Bruma has given an interview to Thursday’s edition of A Bola. And guess what: he was asked about the Premier League interest once again.
It has happened many times during the past few weeks, with the Portuguese and Turkish insisting Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur want him. The Jose Mourinho angle is of course most interesting for the Portuguese press.
Speaking to the newspaper, Bruma said: “It’s true that lately people are speaking about big clubs’ interest in me. Now they know I have more experience, I’m not that boy who left Sporting anymore. I fell it much and that’s what I want, but for this to happen I have to keep working.”
Questioned about the possibility of joining Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, he told A Bola: “Everything is possible, I won’t say it’s not. Mourinho is a great manager. All the player would like to work with him, and if it happened to me I’d love it. But it’s on my club I need to keep focused. I have to give everything here for things to happen. If I don’t, they won’t happen.”
“The English league is where every player wants to play. I think it would be a good league for me. But, as I said, it’s here in Turkey, at Galatasaray, where I have to show the quality if I want to get to the other side.”
The earlier rumours convinced us to ask Bruma’s agent Cátio Baldé about it, but he said that despite the winger’s wish to move to England, there’s nothing concrete in it yet.
With four goals and three assists in the Turkish league this season, Bruma is living a good period of form. That helps the Premier League rumours, and is also pushing Galatasaray to see if they can get the player to sign a new contract.
