The agent of the Galatasaray winger Bruma has turned down the recent rumours which linked his client to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Speaking to Sport Witness, Cátio Baldé said he’s still to be contacted regarding a move to either of these clubs.

“There was no contact, no. Today, there’s speculation. With us, directly, a meeting, or a call, an approach, there was nothing. I don’t know if there was this with the club.

“Now that there are movements, there are movements. But I can’t confirm that we, on our part, have received some approach, because we haven’t received one yet. I’m being honest.”

However, despite the lack of talks, a move is far from being ruled out. The agent has confirmed that Bruma is attracting the attention from the Premier League, and the player is keen on a move.

“There are English and German clubs who follow Bruma weekly. What’s happened is that there hasn’t been an advance until now. Anything can happen in December,” he told Sport Witness. “He wants to play in the Premier League and he’s sure he’ll be bought.”

The representative was also able to confirm that after all this buzz about a transfer, the player got a chance to extend his deal at the Turkish club: “Yes, there is an offer for contract renewal. It’s true. Given the approach from many clubs, Galatasaray want to prevent it and proposed a renewal.”

With four goals and three assists, Bruma is having a very good season for Galatasaray so far. He joined the Turkish side from Sporting CP in 2013 for €10m.

The player had two loan spells after that, at Gaziantepspor and Real Sociedad, but has now finally conquered his place at the club.

Despite being born in Guinea-Bissau, Bruma has Portuguese nationality and his steps are much followed by the local media, who keep insisting that both Manchester United and Tottenham are keen on the player.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been linked the most heavily recently, especially by the Turkish media, but there’s likely to be further claims of interest given Bruma’s desire to play in England.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will be well aware of Bruma from the footballer’s time with Sporting, with rumours of interest appearing over the past few days.

For now, it seems the only official offer is for Bruma to stay in Turkey. But it would be no surprise if interest in the player turned into something more concrete soon.
