Adama Traoré has enjoyed a good campaign with Wolverhampton Wanderers this season, scoring four goals and managing seven assists in the league.

Over the past two months, the 24-year-old has spoken to the Spanish media on several occasions. Speaking to La Sexta in December, the attacker admitted he wouldn’t close the door to Real Madrid.

Spanish newspaper AS sat down for a chat with Nuno Espírito Santo’s star and specifically asked him about the previous comments about signing for Zinedine Zidane’s side.

Responding to that, Traoré said: “I don’t close any doors. Now I’m happy here, I think we have a great team of people. Europe is a new stage for us.

“From there, Madrid or Barça will arrive when it has to arrive. When it comes to deciding my future, I won’t have a problem if I have to go to Madrid.”

The attacker continues to flirt with a move away from Wolves and this is followed by regular rumours linking him to European clubs.

Meanwhile, Wolves face Espanyol in the Europa League on Thursday and there’s been suggestions the English club are favourites to win the tie. However, Traoré claims otherwise.

“We have a great rival ahead. The challenge is exciting. The favourite tag is put by others…” he said.
