Wolfsburg youngster Omar Marmoush has admitted he watches Arsenal regularly as the Gunners reportedly eye a move this summer.
Last month we covered a report that stated Marmoush was dreaming of a move to the Premier League, having made that his ambition since he was a young boy.
That could be on offer as both Arsenal and Tottenham were ‘closely monitoring’ the AFCON finalist and even put him on their shopping list for the summer.
BILD now pick up on that and say that Marmoush is unlikely to remain at Wolfsburg beyond the end of the season as he would ‘prefer to play in England’.
“My dream is the Premier League,” he admitted to the newspaper.
“I don’t have a favourite club, but I watch a lot of Arsenal and Liverpool. In Wolfsburg, I didn’t get a chance to show myself over a longer period of time. Now I’m at VfB, and I’m determined to stay in the league.”
That preference could now be handed out to him, with BILD again stating that Arsenal are ‘keeping a watchful eye’ on the player and have put him on their list of options.
That’s because of Marmoush’s impressive performances in Africa Cup of Nations, where he was one of the star players for Egypt alongside Mohamed Salah.
Arsenal’s chances have been given a boost, too, as Marmoush is ‘working on’ making his dream move to the Premier League a reality.
He recently switched agents to join ICM Stellar Sports, who represent the likes of Jack Grealish and Luke Shaw, among other Premier League stars and are ‘well connected’ in England.
They also happen to represent Arsenal duo Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding, so they’re well connected at the Emirates as well.
All that sets up a potential move for Marmoush, who is seemingly keen and ready to make a transfer happen this year.
