According to a claim in Turkey, Aston Villa target Trezeguet has informed his club Kasimpasa he wants a transfer in this window.
The Egyptian intentional has been linked with a move to Aston Villa in recent weeks as they look to strengthen for the Premier League next season.
Dirilis Postasi have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Trezeguet and they say the player has asked for a move to either England or Fenerbahce.
As paraphrased by the Turkish newspaper the player has reportedly told Kasimpasa he’s done what he can for the Super Lig club and now he wants to move: “Allow me to leave. There are important clubs that want me. I’ve completed my mission here. I want to go now.”
Aston Villa’s interest in the attacker is again backed up by Dirilis Postasi and they say the Premier League side have offered €10m for him.
However, Kasimpasa vice president Hasan Hilmi Oksuz confirmed a few days ago they’ve only been offered €7.5m for Trezeguet and that his club will be holding out for €15m. He also made clear there’s been an offer from Aston Villa.
The forward played 34 games last season in the league and scored 9 goals. He is under contract with the Turkish side until June 2021.
