Following the emergence of videos showing West Ham United’s Kurt Zouma kicking and slapping his cat, a lot has happened.
The Hammers looked into it, fined him two weeks wages and lost at least one sponsor, while Didier Deschamps has hinted he won’t select the centre-back again for France.
Not only that, but the RSPCA, and rightly so, took the former Chelsea defender’s cats away from him, while other foundations filed complaints against the 27-year-old, whose career is likely to be affected by his despicable actions.
Over in France, Frank Leboeuf decided to take to social media to have his say about the whole situation and the 1998 World Cup winner, as tends to be the case, didn’t hold back in the slightest.
Addressing the West Ham player directly, the former Chelsea defender said, relayed by RMC Sport: “What have you done? Have you lost it? Since yesterday, I’m devastated. Devastated. I don’t understand. You played at Chelsea, we had the same number. We talked. I thought you were a good guy, but what are you doing?
🗣 "Qu'est-ce que tu fais là ? T'as craqué ou quoi ? Qu'est-ce que tu caches ?!"

“What are you hiding behind your smile? You don’t touch animals. You don’t kick an animal. It’s as if you were hitting a kid. You need to look at yourself. They need to take your cats away. I’m so disappointed. So disappointed.”
Unable to find as much game time under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea as he wanted last season, Zouma was the subject of a lot of rumours over the summer, and it was West Ham who eventually won the race to sign the France international for a fee exceeding £30m.
It remains to be seen what happens with the player going forward, as, following the reception he got when he played against Watford, David Moyes might think twice about choosing him again in the near future.
