When the final whistle blew and Liverpool lost 3-2 to Toulouse in the Europa League, the vast majority of the players sought each other out for handshakes and perhaps one or two shirt swaps.

However, Darwin Nuñez wasn’t in the mood to share pleasantries with Frank Magri, who scored his team’s third in the 76th minute.

A video circulated showing the Cameroon international shaking hands with Mohamed Salah and then get blanked by Liverpool’s Uruguayan striker, which the player has now commented on in a chat with La Dépêche du Midi.

The forward made it clear he doesn’t anything against Nuñez and explains he was half-expecting it.

He said: “We got into it a bit during the game in one or two challenges, so at the end, when I see him coming… Before putting my hand out, I see his look and I expected it, that’s why I laugh afterwards.”

Magri made it clear on a separate occasion that he wasn’t affected by the Liverpool star’s action and that he certainly ‘didn’t lose sleep’ over it.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a decent season with the Ligue 1 side so far, scoring four goals and assisting once in 16 appearances in all competitions.
