Stoke City striker Bojan Krkic enjoying a few days off during international break. The player gave an big interview to Mundo Deportivo this Tuesday, in which he talked about his departure from Barcelona and the three years he’s spent in England so far.
Speaking about his routine in a foreign country, Bojan said: “When I’m here I like to take care of myself. I train in the morning, I rest for a while in the afternoon and then I like to go to the gym. Other days I walk through the town, I watch TV or talk to family and friends. I lead a quiet life. I lived with a partner before, now I do it alone.”
“It’s all about cracks. We started the year badly, and with that inertia the coach was guided by his mentality. At all times, therefore, I’ve had confidence in my chances. I know I have quality and I fight in every training. When I played I’ve done well and I am in a good time physically.”
Asked if Mark Hughes’ tradition not to make many substitutions is spoiling his chances, Bojan claims it’s not really a problem: “Everyone has their thing. The squad has to be prepared to help to get the results and, as far as I’m concerned, I take care of myself.
“Hughes knows I’m good, I’ve been with him at Stoke for two years and I want to take advantage of opportunities like in the last game against West Ham, when I scored the equaliser.”
Bojan was also questioned if scoring goals could make a big difference for the rest of his season: “The goal is everything. You can play well, give assists or play for ninety minutes, but if you don’t score, it’s not the same. For the striker it’s always important.”
Bojan signed for the Potters from Barcelona in 2014. He has 56 appearances, 14 goals and three assists for the English club.
