Sasa Kalajdzic is a wanted man.
The 21 year old currently plays for FC Admira Wacker Mödling in Austria, and Welt Fussball have had a chat with him ahead of the U21 European Championship.
They’ve asked him about interest from other clubs, naming Leeds United, FC Koln, Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart. He’s finding the reports about his future entertaining, but also a little odd at the same time.
Reading about himself in the media is a new thing, and has taken some getting used to: “To be honest, I find it somewhat amusing when you read such a thing in the media everywhere, it’s just a bit uncomfortable when all the people ask you about it.
“I learned a lot how to deal with such things in my head, so I read five articles about myself every day for a week, that was a lot.”
He doesn’t know where he’s going to be playing next season, but Welt Fussball believe a move out of Austria is the likeliest option: “According to the media, it can be expected that I will go abroad. I do not exclude anything.”
With only one year of contract at his current club, a transfer becomes even likelier, and Kalajdzic wants it all sorting out as soon as possible, so if Leeds United are still keen then now is a good time to move.
