For the umpteenth time, Julian Brandt is being linked with a move to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has a contract with Borussia Dortmund lasting until June 2024, so the Bundesliga side are under no pressure in that regard.
However, the versatile player has been in and out of the Dortmund team this season, so there’s the possibility BVB would consider parting ways in the upcoming market.
Over the past three league matches, Brandt has managed just 39 minutes, and claims of Arsenal interest have been building.
Mikel Arteta’s side may look to strengthen their squad in the winter market, and that’s seen a number of players linked with Arsenal. It’s thought the Gunners are looking for creativity, and with Mesut Ozil way out of the picture, turning to the transfer window would be a solution.
Brandt to Arsenal claims have been varied without there being anything specially concrete regarding the London club making a move.
Now, Dortmund director Michael Zorc has been asked about the Arsenal links, and quoted by Sven Westerschulze, he said: “I read that too, I can’t say more about it. Nobody answered, there is nothing on the table – and not even in the fax machine.”
Zorc didn’t say that the player isn’t available, so perhaps Arsenal will have a chance if they actually make a move.
