In February 2019, Alexander Milosevic signed an 18 month deal with Nottingham Forest. A few months later, Sabri Lamouchi arrived at the City ground, and clearly didn’t think there was a place for the defender in his plans with the Championship club.
That quickly saw a mutual agreement to terminate the contract. He was predicted to find a new club relatively quickly and had been training with AIK, who were expected to make an effort to sign the free agent.
There was interest from England and Russia too, but things dragged on and then the Covid-19 crisis put an end to any hope of a deal. Now it’s reported in Sweden that Hull City are showing ‘concrete interest’ in the 28 year old, and could therefore make a move to secure him soon.
This is reported by Swedish source Fotboll Direkt, who have a good record with such claims and certainly won’t have plucked Hull City interest from thin air. Much will depend on whether Hull are able to keep their place in the Championship for next season, with Grant McCann’s side in serious danger of relegation.
Unfortunately for Milosevic, his Nottingham Forest contract termination and subsequent difficulty to find a new club immediately was then made worse by the global pandemic, and now he’s probably set for a lower value deal than he would have otherwise been.
