The Patrick Cutrone mini saga continues on Thursday, and timeframes are again thrown around for the competition of a deal.
On Wednesday, we covered claims from Italy that Fiorentina and the striker were having their patience tested by Wolves. That was because it was claimed the Premier League club wanted to keep control over the player’s future, with the insinuation being they wanted some way of getting him back if they so wish.
Gazzetta reported that, and they’ve largely forgotten it in their edition today. It’s stated Cutrone ‘should arrive’ in Florence in the next 48 hours, and it’s a ‘decisive’ day for the move.
The formula of a deal is an 18 month loan, with a purchase obligation of €16-18m. That’s just a way for Fiorentina to spread the cost and is something used repeatedly in Italian football.
TMW report there’s hope a transfer can be finalised ‘in the next few hours’, and say the two clubs are now ‘one step away’ from an agreement.
Just like Gazzetta, TMW state the move will be an 18 month loan, with Fiorentina having to then make that permanent.
