Marseille have agreed a loan deal with Tottenham to sign Cameroon international Clinton N’Jie.
The Ligue 1 club also have the option to buy the player for €7m, which can only be activated after the player features in a certain number of games.
Clinton N’Jie has also completed his medical examinations, after Marseille sent their doctors to London in the hope of quickly getting the deal done.
However, there seems to be a slight delay, for a few reasons. It was earlier reported N’Jie is waiting for his visa, and that Tottenham officials are in Australia.
Yesterday, L’Equipe claimed Marseille and Tottenham are discussing the ‘final margins’ of the deal, but an announcement could be made this week.
According to L”Equipe on Friday, Marseille boss Franck Passi is hoping for an imminent arrival of Clinton N’Jie at the club.
L’Equipe say the player agreed the move on July 20th, but it seems there has been no further progress.
