Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has spoken to the Turkish media about the interest from other clubs in loanee forward Alexander Sörloth.
The Norwegian, who’s currently on loan from Crystal Palace, has been dominating the headlines in the Turkish media with his excellent performances for Karadeniz Firtinasi.
His good run of form has led to talks of Trabzonspor signing him permanently this season but Agaoglu has told Fotomac he remains relaxed about the situation: “I don’t know why everyone is talking about Alex’s loan contract at the moment.
“His buying option belongs to our club; we can activate it until the end of May 2021. We are relaxed. I saw five or six scouts from three big leagues yesterday. They all came to watch him in action. He’s really wanted at the moment.”
The Crystal Palace owned player is currently the Turkish Super Lig’s top scorer with 19 goals in 23 appearances, and his overall performances have brought him to the attention of other clubs. His form has helped his side maintain their title challenge and they currently top the league table.
He’s been crucial for Trabzonspor during the derby games, scoring five goals in five games against Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
There have been reports they can sign him from Crystal Palace on a permanent deal for €6m, but then look to cash in on him.
