Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been linked with multiple jobs in the past few months.
He seemed like a candidate to become the next Manchester United boss until Ruben Amorim stepped in and links with multiple clubs never materialised into actual moves.
Frank was also linked with the Denmark national team manager’s role and Bees midfielder Christian Norgaard has been asked about the Brentford boss’ candidature for the job.
In a press conference, he stated that Frank probably sees himself as someone who can manage Denmark.
The midfielder said: “Every time that a top club lacks a coach, he is mentioned as one of the first, so at this point it will be a step down to go in that direction to become a national coach.
“I know Thomas well enough that he would like to try it one day, but I don’t think the timing is right.”
Speaking further on the links, Norgaard said: “I think that Thomas Frank will become the Danish national coach one day, but I don’t think that the timing was right right now.
“He’s happy where he is and I don’t think he’s finished being a club coach. It is also about taking advantage of the momentum that you have right now.”
Under Frank, Brentford have become an established Premier League side who consistently push for the top half of the league and they have an identity which sets them apart from other sides.
