Since Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from Chelsea was announced, a ridiculous number of managers have been linked to the job, with Hansi Flick being one of them.
It’s been said the former Germany coach is wanted both by the Blues and Barcelona, who are not sure about Xavi’s stay beyond the end of the season.
As Catalan outlet Sport now shares a story claiming Flick is in London, that sounds like a sign he could be negotiating with Chelsea. However, it’s actually the Catalans who are after him.
According to the outlet, Barcelona chiefs Deco and Bojan are both flying to the English capital to meet the manager. He’s said to be accompanied by his agent Pini Zahavi.
Sport says that the Camp Nou side are waiting for the final game of the season to then have a meeting with Xavi and decide whether he should continue or not. In case he leaves, then Flick and Rafa Marquez are the main candidates.
So if Chelsea have any interest in the German manager, they should probably get started with their talks.
