Leeds United have long been credited with an interest in signing Club Brugge’s Noa Lang.

Back in June, the Netherlands international revealed the Whites made three offers to take him away from the Jupiler Pro League side in 2021. The winger also detailed they made a trip to his country to convince him to join them that year.

Leeds weren’t successful, but that has not stopped them from possibly making another attempt in the future, as Jesse Marsch’s side seem still keen on the 22-year-old.

Earlier this week, LeedsLive reported the 22-year-old’s decision to snub the English club in the summer hasn’t paid off. It was also stated the Whites have received encouragement in their pursuit of Lang due to his ‘fragile situation’ in Belgium.

Carl Hoefkens left Lang out of the squad in his side’s 1-0 win over Anderlecht. He returned to the squad to face Sint-Truidense on Wednesday, where the attacker came off the bench after the hour’s mark and minutes later, assisted Roman Yaremchuk’s goal. He was also involved in the third goal scored by the home team at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Het Laatste Nieuws state Lang ‘charmed in his comeback’ against Sint-Truidense as Club Brugge sealed a 3-0 win.

Lang remains immensely popular among Club Brugge fans and they got to watch him shine for their team yesterday. The player’s name was sung loudly as he was successful in exciting the home supporters.

HLN add Lang’s contribution of the bench ‘resulted in half an hour of football enjoyment’ which was ‘stimulated’ by leaving him out of the squad against Anderlecht.

With Lang managing to convince a large section of the Club Brugge supporters, he could do the same at Elland Road, in the event Leeds end up acquiring his services.
