Club Brugge star Noa Lang has revealed that Leeds United made multiple offers and even made a trip to the Netherlands to convince him to join them in 2021.

Last summer, there were repeat claims about the Whites’ firm interest in signing the winger. These reports continued in the months leading up to the January window.

However, Leeds United failed in landing the 22-year-old. He finished the season with the Jupiler Pro League side, with whom he won the second league title in a row.

Wednesday’s edition of Het Laatste Nieuws have published a detailed interview with the player, where he revealed the efforts made by the Premier League side to secure his services.

The Netherlands international has expressed his desire to leave Club Brugge this summer, but he did admit he hasn’t emptied his locker yet.

“No. Because it is not yet certain that match against Anderlecht was my last for Club,” he said.

“As long as I am under contract, and there is nothing concrete, I will never refuse to play for Club. They do not deserve that. By the way, for the same money, it will all start in August, just like last year.”

When the player mentioned the situation in the summer of 2021, HLN asked whether it was when Leeds United wanted him.

Responding to that, Lang said: “They were concrete, yes. Leeds made three offers. We even negotiated – they flew to the Netherlands.”

Leeds could be handed another opportunity to sign the Dutchman after he admitted he is looking to leave Club Brugge this summer.

However, whether Jesse Marsch’s side can convince Lang remains to be seen.
