Oleksandr Zinchenko regained his place at Manchester City in this calendar year.
The left-back has made nine Premier League starts in 2021, after playing only for 17 minutes in the league in the first half of the season.
Despite enjoying regular minutes, the Citizens are looking to offload the player in the next market.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who say City will listen to offers for Zinchenko and have identified Atalanta’s Robin Gosens as his possible successor.
The Germany international is ‘inevitably a great market man’ because of his ‘quality, quantity and constant performances’ for Atalanta.
It’s claimed a survey from Pep Guardiola would have arrived, but it’s not clear if the English club approached the Serie A side or the 26-year-old’s entourage.
Having already looked at Gosens in January, TMW state the City manager is ‘trying to bring’ the player to Manchester in the summer.
The left-back will have a year left on his Atalanta contract at the end of this season and that would help the Etihad club to sign him.
Gosens has nine goals and six assists in all competitions this season for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
