AC Milan seem to have a boost in their chase for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus Cheek.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato shares a story explaining the growing ‘optimism’ from the Rossoneri regarding the 27-year-old’s arrival at the San Siro.

The Serie A giants indeed seem to have big reasons for it. The first one is regarding the player’s price, because according to the report, Chelsea already dropped their request.

It’s said there was an initial valuation of €25m for Loftus Cheek’s transfer this summer, and that now has gone down to €20m.

According to the story, that’s a result of the player’s wish. The midfielder is said to have a ‘clear openness’ to the chance of leaving Chelsea and England in this transfer window, and that will make the move easier.

It’s said there is an ‘ok’ from him, and his entourage has been in contact with Milan to discuss a personal agreement.

The Rossoneri now must work on the deal with Chelsea, and with the Blues feeling the need of a clearance in their squad, it seems that won’t be a problem at all.
