For quite some time, Bruno Fernandes has been linked strongly with Manchester United.
The story has changed slightly over the past week, with other clubs being brought into the picture. Chief among them is Manchester City, and Tuesday morning brought big claims from Portugal.
A Bola said Manchester City should hold an imminent meeting with Sporting’s Hugo Viana, and a €50m offer would be pushed forward. That isn’t thought to be City’s limit, and they’d go up to €70m, perhaps with bonuses on top of the lower figure.
The next Manchester City story from Portugal was Bernardo Silva visiting the Estoril Open tennis tournament, and being asked a few questions, including about supposed Barcelona interest.
He dismissed it, insisting he’s very happy where he is.
Then an image appeared of Bernardo and Bruno together in Estoril.

Not long after, O Jogo has quoted the City player speaking about his compatriot, and it’s obviously glowing stuff: “Bruno is a great player, he has made a fantastic season with many goals (28), many assists (16) that are not normal for a player of his position, he has the leading numbers and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season. A player who can play in other championships.”
Like the Premier League, Bernardo?
