Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has spoken at Ersun Yanal’s unveiling conference and has explained the club’s long terms plans. Yanal has replaced Erwin Koeman as the Yellow Canaries new manager.
The Turkish club are currently going through their worst ever start to a season and they’ve only managed to pick up 15 points in their opening 16 games, which has put them in a relegation fight.
Despite the Turkish club’s woes, Ali Koc has said he’s content with the performance of Andre Ayew, after loaning the Ghana international from Swansea City at the start of the season.
Speaking about the Swansea loanee, Ali Koc made it clear, as covered by Sporx, he’d like to keep the player beyond his loan deal: “We loaned three players and one of them is Ayew, as you know. Before talking about Ayew’s career, I want to talk about his leadership and personality.
“He is a great man to have around the club. He is very passionate, very strong, very open-minded and a top professional. I really hope we could extend his stay at the club.”
Ayew has played 14 Turkish League games for Fenerbahce this season and is the top scorer for the club in the league with four goals.
There have been claims the Swansea City attacker would like to remain in the Super Lig after the Welsh club’s relegation to the Championship last season.
