Sandro Ramirez’s time at Everton was woeful, and similar can be said for most of the time he spent away on loan from the club.

Joining in 2017 from Malaga, Sandro failed to have any impact at all for the Premier League club and was first sent out to Sevilla on a temporary basis. That proved to be a waste of time, and he then went to Real Sociedad and Valladolid.

The story was often the same. Sandro was appreciated even though he didn’t score goals, and the striker’s effort in training and general attitude were very much praised.

Managers were keen on having him as a hard working option in the squad, but his high wages at Everton, coupled with a lack of goals, meant he wasn’t worth taking on a permanent deal.

Everton and Sandro ultimately came to an agreement to end their period together, and then the player was able to join SD Huesca as a free agent.

There the 25-year-old has managed two goals and an assist in eight La Liga games.

He’s currently out with a muscle injury and AS explain Huesca are treating him carefully, and not rushing the player back, because he’s seen as ‘the great hope’.

Pacheta, the club’s new manager, hasn’t yet been able to use Sandro, yet he agrees with Huesca’s leadership that it’s too risky to rush Sandro back, given his importance to the team’s chances.

That’s a huge turnaround, and it would appear Sandro is now highly valued at his current home, perhaps even more so given their struggles without him playing.
