On Monday morning we brought together some positive news for Crystal Palace and their pursuit of Leander Dendoncker.
After earlier claims the midfielder turned defender would be the subject of a Palace summer offer, subject to Premier League survival, everything seemed to be falling into place.
Claims of Atletico Madrid having a pre-agreement to sign the player have largely been ignored in Spain, the competition of Betis has pretty much been ignored or dismissed by the Sevilla media, and Dendoncker himself is playing really well.
Well, here’s some more good news.
Anderlecht Online have got comments from the Belgian club’s new big cheese.
Marc Coucke was asked about the 23 year old’s situation, and said: “I already had an individual meeting with Dendoncker. This is the new management, I told him, and the new management also gives him the promise that he can leave after the season if there is a good and worthy offer on the table.”
Dendoncker has wanted to leave Anderlecht in the past two transfer windows, and became frustrated with his club for blocking an exit.
Crystal Palace tried in the winter window and are expected to return in the summer. West Ham were also keen, although the Belgian coverage of a move to England has recently been more about Palace.
