Wolverhampton Wanderers may have been handed their chance to sign defender Milos Kerkez in the summer, with his agent admitting he would prefer to send him to England.
Sebastijan Kerkez, the player’s father who also acts as his representative, has been speaking to M4 Sport about his sone and what could be a busy summer for him this year.
Kerkez is currently impressing with AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands, establishing himself as the Dutch club’s first choice left-back this season.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Leeds though to be particularly keen on him and Wolves also named as suitors in recent weeks.
A report at the end of February named them as potential suitors alongside Brentford, with it stated at the time that that Alkmaar were looking for at least €20m for the 19-year-old if they were to sell him this summer.
“His position is very sought after, so there are a few people interested in him, from England, Spain, Italy, Portugal and even Germany and France,” he said.
“Everyone cares about money, but we don’t. We live well here and have everything; money is not a reason to change clubs at the moment.
“The big money will come one day anyway, now it doesn’t change anything in our decision about who gives the most.
“We want something a little different, I would prefer England, and Milos would prefer Spain. I think he is a tough player and England would be good for him from that point of view, but he prefers to support the Spanish, but we will see.
“We only have rudimentary conversations with the clubs, how he could play there, what is expected of him, things like that, just a normal conversation, we are not talking about a contract with anyone yet.”
