Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus has reportedly flown to Barcelona this Thursday, where he’ll continue treatment on his knee injury.
According to website UOL, the Brazilian travelled accompanied by a representative and one of the club’s physiotherapists, and will be evaluated by Pep Guardiola’s reliable orthopedist, Ramon Cugat.
Gabriel Jesus spoke to UOL before boarding and claimed that ‘his head is good’, the Manchester City player showing optimism about the recovery. Meanwhile, the representative who flew with him revealed the player should stop using crutches today after seeing the doctor.
On Sunday, reports from Spain suggested that there was a suspicion of a ligament rupture on the Manchester City player’s left knee, with further tests expected.
But in contact with Sport Witness, Jesus’ agent Cristiano Simões ruled out the possibility.
Cugat is the same doctor responsible for the player’s surgery when he had a broken metatarsal back at the start of 2017.
