Mo Salah’s first season back in English football has been fantastic to say the least. The Egyptian has been winning more and more fans around Europe with his style and effectiveness, and that of course brought transfer rumours.
Real Madrid need an overhaul in the summer, according to the Spanish media, so they were the likely candidates pushed forward. Rumours of interest in the Liverpool attacker grew, but, as we’ve pointed out before, it was mainly coming from England.
In Spain, Salah to Real Madrid hasn’t really been a big thing and there’s a major reason for that. Getting the player from Liverpool is considered incredibly difficult, especially in the summer.
Don Balon may not be the most reliable in Spain, but they love talking up transfers, so given even they are now dismissing the idea of Salah to Madrid, it’s a good window on how things are seen in Spain.
Liverpool would ask for ‘all the gold in the world’, and have allegedly told those interested that it’d be €200m or nothing. And that stance, and how they’ve been strong on transfers before, is helping Liverpool win on this matter.
