As Sporting manager Ruben Amorim gets links to several big clubs in Europe, the recent stories about Chelsea’s interest in him get a little boost today.

That’s because of a story published by Portuguese newspaper Record, who shares an interview with former Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca.

The outlet spoke to the player and asked him about his former Eagles’ teammate, who’s doing very well as a coach and could soon take charge of a top European side.

Talisca mentioned that Amorim is good enough to be in charge of Chelsea and others, and that ended up making the headline for his interview.

“I think it’s time for him to coach a club of another dimension, an Arsenal, a Chelsea – in fact, he should already be there. His career is going to be fantastic. He just needs to keep doing what he’s doing!,”
said Talisca.

Amorim has indeed been linked to the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool lately, although the Portuguese media is still to really engage in those rumours.

Today, newspaper O Jogo has a very short story pointing out the recent rumours saying the Blues are interested in him, but there’s no information of their own on whether that chase is real.

The manager is said to be completely focused on Sporting, although he already claimed he’s leaving in case they don’t win a big title this season.
