Halmstad youngster Noel Tornqvist has told the Swedish media he hopes he’s offered a contract by Leeds United.
The 16 year old goalkeeper is currently having another trial with the Championship side, after initially being put through his paces last year.
Speaking to 24halmstad, Tornqvist was asked about the possibility of getting a move to Leeds United: “Sure, you hope to be offered a contract here in Leeds, but after this week everything is focused on Halmia.”
In November we covered reports from Sweden that Tornqvist had a trial with Leeds United. At the time his agent Liridon Kelmendi said Leeds United was a club which would suit the youngster because of the way they run their academy, and the values of the club.
His agent also said his time with Leeds United in November had gone well, and confirmed the goalkeeper would have further trials with the English side.
With Pontus Jansson and Pawel Cibicki already at Leeds United, Tornqvist could be the next Swede to arrive at Elland Road.
