Fresh off their summer of accurate reporting concerning all things Paris Saint-Germain, Paris United decided to expand this year and created a new account called Euro United for all the information they allegedly received regarding transfers that don’t concern the Ligue 1 champions.
For the most part, we haven’t paid it much attention, but that’s mostly because the stories haven’t involved Premier League clubs, until now.
According to Euro United, Manchester United have reopened talks with Ivan Perisic regarding a possible transfer to Old Trafford, with negotiations said to be ‘advanced’.
They then follow up by saying José Mourinho is a big fan of the Croatian winger, which won’t be news to anyone who followed the Red Devils last summer.
Furthermore, to try and get the transfer done, both Pini Zahavi, the man you call to unstick any situation, and Fali Ramadani, who is also in charge of getting Maurizio Sarri on the Stamford Bridge bench, have been called upon.
If last year is anything to go by, with Inter now in the Champions League, and with Ivan Perisic’s performances at the World Cup, signing the Croatian will be anything but easy, and there’s a good chance his price will have shot up beyond the €50m or so the Serie A side were asking for last year.
This is the first we’ve seen this, and it has yet to travel to Italy.
Then again, if Manchester United are bypassing Inter first, they might not know anything about it. Yet.
