Adrien Silva’s potential return to Sporting is once again all over the Portuguese sport media.
The assumption is that the player wants the move to happen as much as Sporting and the club’s fans do, but it’s Leicester City who are proving the problem.
It’s stated that having paid €24.5m and gone through such a difficult process with Sporting to get the player, the Foxes aren’t overly keen on making the return an easy one for the Lisbon club.
Therefore, it’s explained by O Jogo that a game of patience is likely to take place.
That will see Leicester try and find a deal from elsewhere, which brings them the most money possible, rather than dealing with Sporting.
The Lisbon club hopes this leads to frustration at the Premier League side and sees a ‘gift at the end of January’ with Adrien returning home on a reasonably priced deal.
Adrien would have to knock-back any other approaches for this to work, or the approaches not happen at all.
