Getting Tottenham transfer over line ‘the main topic of dinner’ as agents meet at restaurant

Mousa Dembele is of serious interest to Napoli, report Gazzetta dello Sport.

With a year left on his Tottenham contract, Dembele hasn’t been afraid to let doubt develop around his future, and the player’s agent last week opened up the possibility of a Spurs exit.

Given how frank everyone is being it’s bound to attract clubs, which could be the aim of the exercise.

Gazzetta say Carlo Ancelotti has been speaking with agent Kia Joorabchian and identified Dembele as an option, an important option.

The Italian newspaper say that in a restaurant meeting attended by agents to talk about Napoli transfers, signing Dembele from Tottenham was ‘the main topic of dinner’.

It all sounds quite dramatic, but Gazzetta believe Kia knows the right people to press the right buttons at Spurs and try and get the Belgian midfielder to Napoli this summer.

There sounds some confidence that a transfer is possible and with Dembele having just a year left on his deal, a lot will depend on what the player thinks.
