Niclas Fullkrug is a new name to throw into the rumour mill for Leicester City, Newcastle United and Watford, according to German newspaper Bild.
Who he is?
Fullkrug is a 25 year old striker playing for Hannover, who are 13th in the Bundesliga. This season has seen the player score 15 goals, 13 of them in the league, and it’s that which is said to be attracting attention.
How much?
With a contract lasting until June 2020, Hannover are pretty well protected. Bild say there’s no buyout clause in Fullkrug’s contract, so the German side can ask for what they like.
That doesn’t mean the price will get silly, with the German newspaper believing Hannover ‘could’ get double figures. A price of €10m or a little less sounds reasonable then.
Whilst it’s claimed Fullkrug is on the list of these clubs, and several more from England’s Championship, he wouldn’t exactly be a big signing.
Leicester certainly don’t need him, Newcastle are likely looking at other options, and the only saving grace for Watford interest is he has the same agent as Sebastian Prodl.
