Fotospor report Galatasaray assistant manager Hasan Sas is set to watch Southampton defender Jan Bednarek in action when Poland face the Czech Republic on Thursday night.
The Turkish side currently have only three recognised central defenders, with Maicon expected to leave the club when the transfer window reopens.
According to Fotospor, Bednarek is one of the options for Galatasaray ahead of the winter transfer window and they also looking to bolster their attack by targeting AS Roma forward Patrik Schick.
Bednarek joined Southampton from Polish side Lech Poznan at the start of 2017/18 season but has failed to hold down a regular place in the starting line up.
This season the 22 year old has only started one Premier League game, which was October’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea. Despite his lack of game time at Southampton Bednarek has continued to be a regular in the Poland national team and is in line to play tomorrow night.
The Galatasaray assistant will expected to have the club’s good thoughts toward the youngster confirmed, ahead of a possible approach in the winter market.
Still in contention to qualify for the next stage of the Champions League, the Turkish club would be able to tempt the Saints player with the lure of European football.
Super Lig clubs almost always go for loan approaches first.
