Brendan Rodgers and Celtic risk losing Rocco Vata in the summer as his deal runs out at there end of June.
The 18-year-old was subject to interest from Como, Bologna and Sampdoria in January and continues to have a market in Italy.
That’s at least what Tutto Atalanta are reporting, and they add Atalanta are in the picture to sign the Celtic player in the summer.
It’s claimed the Republic of Ireland U21 international is at the centre of the Serie A side’s attention, mainly due to his contract situation at Celtic. This has also seen the youngster attract interest from other clubs.
The report states Celtic have offered the teenager a new contract until 2027. Despite this, his ‘future could take a turn’, indicating that a move away from Brendan Rodgers’ side could be on the cards in the next window.
Vata has made only two appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season and had to settle for minutes with Celtic’s youth teams.
