A month ago, we covered a few reports from Portugal saying Fulham were trying to sign Sporting winger Jovane Cabral.
The latest report said the Whites wanted the player on a loan deal, adding an option to buy him for €10m.
The Lions’ idea would be to get rid of the 21-year-old on a permanent basis, but it seemed like the London side were insisting on the idea of having him on a loan.
This rumour disappeared for a while, but now O Jogo comes up saying Fulham’s offer has actually been rejected by Sporting.
They confirm the Craven Cottage side tried to sign Jovane on a loan deal, but Sporting weren’t happy with the terms and declined the bid.
O Jogo says the player’s departure is still ‘on the table’, so Fulham probably still have some time to make a new offer and try to convince the Portuguese side.
