Fulham continue to look like serious contenders to sign Jovane Cabral from Portuguese side Sporting this summer.
Newspaper Jornal de Notícias has a story today saying the Lions are really interested in selling the player, since they’re in need of money and he hasn’t been getting enough minutes.
It’s claimed the Portuguese club started off by demanding €15m for the transfer, but now they’ll accept €10m.
The story is focused on claiming Sporting would rather make an ‘immediate sale’ instead of a loan, but what they have on the table for now could delay this payment a little.
It’s said that Fulham are ‘well placed’ to get the player, but they’re currently negotiating for a loan deal with an mandatory buying clause.
It’s not said how much the Craven Cottage side would pay for the 21-year-old, although it should clearly be something close to the amounts mentioned.
Jovane had four goals and eight assists in 31 appearances for Sporting last season. He’s been playing both on the right and left wing.
