A few days ago, O Jogo reported that Sporting were negotiating a loan of one of their players to Fulham.
This move would serve to pay the debt the Portuguese club have with the Cottagers from the transfer of Bryan Ruiz in 2015.
When they claimed it, O Jogo said Fulham would want the Brazilian midfielder Wallyson Mallmann, but they’ve now changed their preference. Now O Jogo say Fulham will be signing Carlos Mané instead.
The winger is expected to seal his move in the next few days. Fulham already tried to sign him in January, but ended up bringing in Zakaria Labyad, who has already returned to Sporting after an unimpressive six-month loan in West London.
Mané has played for Sporting since he was a kid and was never loaned before. He isn’t getting much game time in Portugal, and finished last season with seven assists and one goal in only 23 appearances.
