Just like in other recent transfer windows, Fulham are being credited with a lot of interest in Ligue 1 players.
Monday’s edition of L’Equipe reports the latest player to be subject of a Fulham effort is Youssouf Sabaly.
The 25 year old is a right footed right back who can also play as a left back. For his club Bordeaux this season he’s been used more on the left than right, showing a clear versatility for the fullback positions.
Sabaly has a contract with the French side until June 2021, so there’s no pressure to sell him.
Claudio Ranieri is said to be targeting the player and Fulham have ‘sent a first offer’ according to the French newspaper. That offer arrived at the end of the week just gone, according to the claims.
There’s no clarity on whether it’s was knocked back or even what the amount Fulham have put forward is, but L’Equipe state ‘negotiations continue’.
The Premier League club reportedly want the player quickly, so he can help with the battle against relegation.
