Milliyet journalist Serdar Saridag claims Fulham’s latest signing Ryan Babel has reached a verbal agreement to sign for Galatasaray next season.

Yesterday the English club confirmed the arrival of Babel, with reports they’ve paid Besiktas £1.8m for the Netherlands international. The player would have been out of contract with the Turkish club in the summer.

However, Babel has only committed himself to Fulham for the remainder of the season. Saridag says subsequently his  Turkish journey may not be over yet after the Dutch winger reportedly held talks with Galatasaray over a potential move in the summer.

It’s claimed Babel will not commit himself to Fulham beyond this season due to them being in a relegation fight, which can lead to a quick return to Istanbul if they drop down to the Championship.

The Milliyet journalist has also stated Babel hasn’t put his house in Turkey up for sale, which he says could be an indication he has unfinished business in the Super Lig.

Perhaps the country’s football media just want him back.
