As Fulham continue their quest for a defender, here’s one more centre-back linked to the Craven Cottage side today.
Journalist Gianluigi Longar, from Sport Italia, says the Whites are now interested in Sampdoria player Omar Colley.
He claims there have been ‘meetings’ with Fulham, although there are no details on how much the London club are offering for the 27-year-old.
Longar also points out that other clubs who were interested in the player back in January, such as Newcastle United, and should get some ‘attention’ as well.
Following the club’s defeat to Aston Villa on Monday, club president Tony Khan promised fans they’ve been looking for centre-backs the whole summer, and couldn’t fix the problem yet.
Sampdoria spent €8m to sign Omar Colley from Genk two years ago. He’s been a regular starter for the Serie A side since then, so we shouldn’t expect him to be cheaper than that.
